 Family Classes

Unique from the "Mommy and Me" type music classes offered for  parent-to-child, Tricia's music celebrations can be specifically designed for whole families at once!  Evening class components work very well to encourage families to sing together and build strong family bonds through music, movement, family inspired stories, and fun!

 Schools and Centers

These music classes will work perfectly for: daycares, preschools, Community Education, Head Start, Special needs programs, any place kids are growing!

Tricia offers 30 minute classes for youngsters in daycare centers, preschools, home day cares, library settings, recreation centers, and other community environments.  These classes offer active participation, in informal, non-competitive activities that will nurture a child's ability to explore rhythms and music.  After 30 years in early childhood education,Tricia has the knowledge and expertise to guide children into discovery of traditional folk songs and finger plays, as well as introducing young students into new and exciting music and movement. Classes are comprised of a flow of finger plays, vocal music, instrumental jam sessions, and movement specifically designed for preschoolers and toddlers.Often these classes include stories and or/puppetry with the songs so as to include growth in early childhood literacy as well.

Note to Child Care Directors:

Tricia brings her special brand of interactive music and literacy experience to your center so that your littlest learners can develop the knowledge and skills necessary in both areas simultaneously! Your teachers who are present during this session also pick up on these teaching elements as an energizing and stimulating element of literacy and music education. Tricia schedules these classes conveniently for center directors who manage tight budgets as well as a variety of programming needs.  Tricia can also come into your center to teach a SUMMER CAMP daily for as 1-3  weeks as needed.  At the end of the learning experience, she will provide a huge sing a long -- at  no extra charge! -- for family night fun to show off what we have learned!  It is really a spectacular way to show off your center to be seen by the outside world while everyone is having a really great time!

Tricia's Music Sing A Long
Tricia can come to your center, business, or event to lead a sing a long with children and families, including kid songs and family favorites... everyone joins in the fun!

Tricia's background as a classroom teacher gives her unique perspective of children and their growth.  She is well able to handle any and all challenges that occur in the context of programming needs and/or staff development issues. Because her master's degree is in Reading Instruction, she has a clear understanding of the music/literacy connection.
