Tricia's Three Most Important Rules of Parenting:

   1. Read to your child.
   2. Read to your child.
   3. Read to your child.

Lucky families get to hear stories and sing together as they grow up. You may not think that's true for you, but, don't you remember the story about how Aunt Hazel walked in her sleep to pick strawberries?  Or when cousin Billy ran off to hide Grandma Ruby's false teeth?  These are the stories that need to be passed on to the next generation.  We also need tradional stories and songs like The Gingerbread Man and You Are My Sunshine. They are fun and they are the stuff we grow on.  Once you begin sharing this time together, the sheer joy of it will keep you going.  The connection between parent, child, and song or parent, child, and story, stretches the imagination and warms the heart.

Tricia enjoys creating family nights where grown ups and children come together to experience the simple pleasure of traditional sing alongs and participation stories.

Parent workshops can be designed to accomplish the following goals:

-learn to use songs and stories interactively

-discover new techniques for bedtime rituals

-make puppets and props from household items

-create personal, family tales to become part of your own family tradition
